Silent Hills no longer in development
Konami ends project with Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima
Konami has confirmed that the upcoming Silent Hills game, set to be a collaboration between Guillermo del Toro and Metal Gear Solid designer Hideo Kojima, is no longer in development.
First revealed last year as a secret ending teaser in P.T., the game was said to also star Norman Reedus. The publisher has now issued a statement with regards to the title.
"Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued. In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements."
The announcement comes on the heels of Konami ending their relationship with Hideo Kojima and his Metal Gear projects.
