Gears of War 4 system requirements detailed

Microsoft has announced the system requirements for Gears of War 4 on PC. See them below:

Minimum (1080p)

• OS: Windows 10 Anniversary
• CPU: AMD FX-6300 or i5 3470 @ 3.0Ghz
• RAM: 8 GB
• Graphics: AMD Radeon R7 260X or Geforce 750ti
• HDD/SSD: 80 GB

Recommended (1440p)

• OS: Windows 10 Anniversary
• CPU: AMD FX-8350 or i5 4690 @ 3.5Ghz
• RAM: 8 GB
• Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 290X / RX 480 or Geforce 970 / GTX 1060
• HDD/SSD: 80 GB

Ideal (2160p / 4k)

• OS: Windows 10 Anniversary
• CPU: AMD FX-9590 or i7 4790 @ 4Ghz
• RAM: 16 GB
• Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 Fury X or Geforce GTX 1080
• HDD/SSD: 80 GB

The minimum specifications are quite respectable, with a modest CPU and graphics card required to run the game at 1080p. Aside from the standard recommended specification, Microsoft has also outlined the system that they believe is required for 4k resolution, listed under the ideal specification.

Gear of War 4 marks a return to PC for the franchise, as the original was ported to PC back in June 2007, less than a year after it released for the Xbox 360. The various sequels later released on the Xbox 360 were never released on PC. Gears of War 4 will release on both the PC and Xbox One on October 11th 2016.
