Final Fantasy XV ships over 5 million units in first day

Square Enix has announced that the day one shipment and digital sales for Final Fantasy XV has exceeded five million units – becoming the fastest selling game in the history of the series.

To commemorate the release of the game, numerous special launch events also took place across the globe in Japan, North America (USA, Canada), Latin America (Mexico), Europe (UK and Belgium), and China (Shanghai) to celebrate the release.

FF XV is set in an open world where fantasy meets reality. Join Prince Noctis and his comrades on a journey of brotherhood, love and despair as they unravel Noctis's destiny and take up arms against the warmongering empire, Niflheim.

Final Fantasy XV is available now worldwide on Xbox One and PS4.
