Crackdown 3 delayed to spring 2018
Microsoft's action game no longer releasing alongside the Xbox One X
Microsoft has confirmed that Crackdown 3 has been delayed to spring 2018. The delay is said to give the developers, Reagent Games, Sumo Digital, and Cloudgine, the time to deliver a game to their quality standards.
Shannon Loftis told Polygon that “among other items, we are taking the extra time to focus on the visual polish so gamers can feel completely immersed in a living world.” The new release window means Crackdown 3 will be out sometime between March and June 2018.
Crackdown 3 was originally scheduled to be released in 2016 but didn’t receive a release date until E3 this year. The title was going to be released alongside the launch of the Xbox One X console, that is still releasing on November 7th 2017.
As a Play Anywhere title, Crackdown 3 will be released on PC, via the Microsoft Store, and on all Xbox One consoles.
