Epic Games giving away Paragon assets
Unreal Engine 4 developers now have access to a full array of items from the game
Epic Games has announced that it is giving Unreal Engine 4 developers access to a full array of assets from Paragon, the company’s multiplayer online battle arena game.
Paragon was designed as a multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA). Powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4, the game started pay-to-play early access in March 2016, and free-to-play access started in February 2017. It will be shutting down next month.
The assets are said to be worth $12 million, and include 20 AAA-quality characters, with their respective skins, animations, VFX and dialogue, along with over 1,500 environment components from Paragon. This content is now available free of charge in the Unreal Engine Marketplace, where developers may download Paragon packs to use in their own UE4 projects.
Epic says it plans to release millions of dollars worth of additional Paragon asset packs through spring and summer 2018.
