Publisher 2K takes over the arcade franchise, sequel slightly renamed
2K today announced that they will publish the sequel to arcade-action sports game from developer Saber Interactive - NBA 2K Playgrounds 2.
NBA Playgrounds 2 was announced early this year and was supposed to be released in May, but was delayed at the last minute. With the new publisher, the name of the sequel has been adjusted to better fit within the publisher 2K's catalog.
"This over-the-top, two-on-two basketball experience will complement the best-selling NBA 2K simulation franchise and expand 2K’s footprint in the basketball video game space," said the company.
NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 will be released in fall 2018 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC.
