Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 announced
Blood-sucking sequel coming in 2020
Paradox Interactive have announced Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, a role-playing game and sequel to the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. Revealed at GDC, the sequel promises reactive story-telling, returning characters, and melee combat. It is due to be released in the first quarter of 2020.
The sequel is being developed by Hardsuit Labs and their lead narrative designer, Brian Mitsoda, was one of the primary leads on the original game. He said, “Our aim has been to carry on the signature themes that made Bloodlines unique - particularly its dark tone, atmosphere, and humor - and I think that fans of the original will love what we’re doing with Bloodlines 2.”
Bloodlines 2 will take players through the city streets of Seattle where they will have to make alliances and attack prey, all while trying to keep the world oblivious to the nature of the vampires.
The original Bloodlines released in 2004 and was lauded for its expansive player choice and one of the best horror levels in gaming (Ocean House Hotel). Unfortunately it launched with many bugs and user patches were practically required to fully enjoy its features.
Bloodlines 2 is set to release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Preorders are now available and a season pass is planned, which is included with the Premium edition.
