Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition releases in November
Strategy game remake launches later this year on Xbox Game Pass and Steam
Microsoft has announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will launch on Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate, and Steam on November 14, 2019.
The sequel will support cross play with Steam/Windows Store, four brand-new civilizations, three new campaigns, and many game improvements over the original. Fans can sign up to participate in the Age II DE beta on the official website.
Further, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition also arrives today on Steam and Xbox Game Pass for PC, now featuring cross-network play between the Windows 10 and Steam platforms. To take advantage of cross play, existing owners of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition from the Microsoft Store will need to download a brand-new client. This is a free download for anyone with Definitive Edition in their Microsoft Store library.
