Battlefield 2042 beta in October
Open beta for upcoming shooter is coming in a couple of weeks
EA has announced the plans for the upcoming multiplayer beta of Battlefield 2042.
Pre-load begins on October 5 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms). Early beta access is available October 6–7 (start playing at 07:00 UTC all platforms on 10/06) for anyone who has pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 or is an EA Play member. General access for everyone begins on October 8 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms). The beta is set to conclude on October 9 end of day.
The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is available to play on PC (via Origin, EA app, Steam, and Epic) and console (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S). Please note, PlayStation Plus is not needed to participate in the Open Beta, however, if you're playing on Xbox you will need to be an Xbox Live Gold subscriber.
The beta will offer a single mode and map - classic Conquest mode on Orbital – a map where enemy fire and chaotic weather conditions can help or hinder your fight. There will be four Specialists to try for the players.
Battlefield 2042 will fully launch worldwide on November 19 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation4, PlayStation5, and PC via Origin, Steam and the Epic Games Store.
