Left 4 Dead DLC crashes Sept 29th

The upcoming DLC for the original Left 4 Dead will be released on September 29th for both PC and 360 users.

Posted on
Left 4 Dead "Crash Course" DLC will be released on the 29th of September 2009. The DLC features a 3 map campaign, both playable in single player and versus modes. A shorter 3 map campaign was chosen so players could experience a full versus game in around 30 minutes, opposed to 1 hour + with the current 5 map campaigns.

New Survival maps will be included in this update, although it's unclear if this just means tweaked maps from the new Crash Course campaign or additional unrelated maps. According to boycottters who were flown to Valve, more DLC is on the way for L4D 1 even after L4D 2 is released.

"Crash Course" will be free for PC users via Steam and will cost 560 ($7) on the 360 via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
