Cyberpunk 2077 expansion announced
New DLC for RPG scheduled to release in 2023
CD PROJEKT RED has announced Phantom Liberty, the first expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.
The expansion promises a new cast of characters who V will come into contact with inside a new location within Night City. Phantom Liberty is scheduled to release in 2023 only for PC and current-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which means PS4 and Xbox One versions are not getting the new content. Keanu Reeves will be reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand for the DLC.
The developers also provided new details on Cyberpunk 2077’s latest patch, the Edgerunners Update — which introduces equippable items from the anime to the game. Players will have the chance to don the jacket worn by David Martinez, the anime’s protagonist, and wield a shotgun used by another character from the show. Alongside Edgerunners-inspired items, the update also brings a swathe of features to the game including a clothing transmog system, cross-platform progression, playable Roach Race minigame arcade cabinets, and more.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released in late 2020 for PC, current-gen and last-gen consoles.
