Retail editions for Witcher 2 detailed
Game will be available in various formats and pricing points, all DRM-free
CD Projekt RED’s press conference today revealed quite a few details on pre-orders and the Collector’s and Premium Editions for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
There will be three editions of the game: the Premium and Digital retail versions and the Collector’s Edition.

- The Retail Premium Edition will be the standard edition of the game, and comes with The Witcher 2 on DVD, a Making of DVD, Soundtrack, World Map, Game Guide, a manual, a Pamphlet and coin containing a special version of selected in-game items, and two unique papercraft figure for $49.95.
- The Digital Premium Edition will have all of the above in digital, with everything paper related in PDF form for printing, along with wallpapers and Avatars.
- The Collector’s Edition including behind-the-scenes DVD, the game's soundtrack CD, playing cards with a special rulebook, two papercraft figures, a sculpture of Geralt, unique in-game item and lots more. It will set you back $129.99 (seen below).
All digital editions of the game are 10% off when pre-ordering. The Steam version has achievements and stores saves in a cloud. There is also an offer to purchase the game on GOG.com, which gets you 4 soundtrack bits not used in the game, 10 avatars, 10 HD wallpapers, the 200 page artbook in the digital form plus a free game and the photo tour.
Folks are encouraged to preorder now - as you will get everything listed above (except for the game of course) starting today with the digital editions of the game. As an added bonus, your credit card won't be charged until the game is released.
The Witcher 2 is out for PC on May 17th, 2011.
