Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III revealed
Direct sequel campaign, remastered multiplayer maps, and more
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is coming this November 10, 2023.
For the first time in back-to-back years, the campaign continues the story immediately following the events of last year's Modern Warfare II. The cinematic campaign marks the return of villain Makarov, challenging Task 141 to fight like never before. The game will also introduce Open Combat Missions, where players have more tactical flexibility in how they approach the missions.
In Multiplayer, all 16 maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) will be included at launch, modernized with new modes, mechanics, and gameplay, including three brand-new Battle Maps and the return of War Mode. The evolution of the Gunsmith continues with the addition of After-Market Parts, letting players construct unique weapon configurations or types such as customizing a machine gun into a bullpup configuration.
Developed by Treyarch, players can team up with other squads to fight hordes of the undead in the first-ever Modern Warfare Zombies experience, featuring secrets to discover in an all-new open world Zombies set on the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever. Full details can be found at the Call of Duty blog.
As previously announced, MWIII will also let players carry over most of the content from last year's MWII.
Modern Warfare III will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
