Content detailed for season two of Modern Warfare III
Four new 6v6 maps, a new vest, and four new weapons
Activision and Sledgehammer Games have revealed what is coming in the upcoming second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The season begins on February 7 and it features four new core 6v6 maps, several map variants, a new War operation, four new weapons, a new vest, and much more.
Departures is one of the four new maps, and it is a medium-large map that takes place in Zakhaev International Airport. The fan-favorite map Das Hous has been remade, last seen in Call of Duty: Vanguard, and it will be coming mid-season. The new Das Hous takes place at the top of a skyscraper under construction, and players can expect near identical map structure. Stash House is a brand new tiny map that is located in and around a drug house in the Bay Area. Finally, Vista is a mid-sized map that takes place on a Brazilian mountaintop, around gift shops, restaurants, and trams.
Terminal and Skidrow are both getting map variants this season, which alter their basic look. Terminal will feature a plague infestation that has coated the walls with pustules. Skidrow has become overgrown with vines and nature taking over. The War mode is also finally getting a new map, Operation Tin Man, which takes place in downtown Urzikstan (part of the Warzone map).
A new Ninja vest perk is coming with season two. This vest will address the over-reliance on covert sneakers, by allowing players who equip it to silent their own footsteps, and also increase Shuriken and Throwing Knife ammo. Four new weapons are coming too, including the BP50 assault rifle and SOA Subverter battle rifle. Five new modes will be playable, including Team Gun Game, Bounty, and Snipers-only. Players can also unlock Rick Grimes (from The Walking Dead) if they purchase the battle pass. For more details on the above and more, including various Warzone changes, check the Call of Duty blog.
