Frostpunk 2 delayed
Survival city management game pushed back a few months
11 bit studios have announced that Frostpunk 2 has been delayed.
The game was planned for launch next month, at the end of July. Now, the developers have decided to delay the release to September 20th, 2024.
In a statement, the company says the delay will allow them to further polish the game, and to incorporate player feedback after the recent beta. Some planned changes include new additions to the game mechanics, extensive UI & UX enhancement, a popular by-demand city feature the dev team calls Zoom Stories, and more.
In Frostpunk 2, players are once again tasked with playing as the leader of a resource-hungry metropolis where the expansion and search for new sources of power is an unavoidable reality. But the apocalyptic world has moved on. After the age of coal, conquering Frostland for the oil extraction industry is expected to be the new salvation of what’s left of humanity. However, change does not come easily, and not everyone in this new multi-layered society will welcome this new direction.
The game will first launch on PC, with console versions planned for later.
