Season 1 out now for Black Ops 6
Three new maps, seven weapons, and much more
The first season of Black Ops 6 is underway, with a large update required on all platforms. The new season brings three new maps: Hideout, Extraction and Heirloom. All can be played 6v6 although Heirloom is a small 2v2 map as well. Another three maps will be released during the season, including Hacienda, a remake, Nuketown Holiday, a variant, and Racket (new). No date has been given for these maps although Nuketown Holiday is likely to come out just before Christmas.
Seven weapons are also being released throughout the season. Two are available now for free, via the battlepass, and the rest will come later. The ones out now are the Krig C (assault rifle) and Saug (smg). Five more weapons, including two melee weapons, will be available by completing seasonal events. Players will also be able to equip a new wildcard, two new perks, and another scorestreak.
Two new modes are available to play during the season. Ransack is out now and it has players collecting gold bars from crates across the map and returning them to their base. Prop Hunt is a fan-favorite mode coming back mid-season and it will let players transform into various objects to hide in levels for the longest.
Zombies players now have access to a directed mode that guides players through all of the previously hidden objectives in both the Terminus and Liberty Falls maps. And mid season there will be a third map added, Citadelle Des Morts, along with a new perk, field upgrade and more. Season 1 for Black Ops 6 lasts for 75 days, concluding at the end of January.
