Warner Bros. closes studios and cancels Wonder Woman game
Monolith Productions, Player First Games, and Warner Bros. Games San Diego shut down
Publisher Warner Bros. Games has said it is making some drastic changes to its business.
Developers Monolith Productions, Player First Games, and Warner Bros. Games San Diego, will be closed. Monolith Productions was founded in 1994 and was best known for games such as The Operative: No One Lives Forever, F.E.A.R., The Matrix Online, Condemned: Criminal Origins, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Player First Games was the studio behind MultiVersus, a free-to-play crossover fighting game.
The publisher also confirmed that the development of Monolith’s Wonder Woman video game will not move forward. In a statement, the company said the changes are to "get our games business back to profitability and growth in 2025 and beyond."
