InFamous 2 release date, Hero edition announced
The super hero action title is coming this June
Sony has announced over at PSBlog that inFAMOUS 2 will be launching in North America exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on June 7th, 2011.
On top of this, the publisher confirmed that on that same day they are also launching the inFamous 2 Hero Edition for $99.99. This special Edition delivers everything an inFamous fan could want including a highly detailed 8.5” Cole MacGrath statue, a sportable sling pack modeled after Cole’s own in-game gear, the inFAMOUS #1 mini comic from DC Comics, the official Soundtrack and a super voucher code for a collection of in-game content.
Starting today participating retailers also kick off official pre-order programs letting players get a chance for some exclusive skins and gear. Oddly enough, GameStop and Walmart are offering two special in-game powers as a bonus, putting them at odds with the core of the gameplay experience. Hopefully though, these gameplay powers will get unlocked for everyone else soon after launch.
