Mass Effect 3: Retaliation DLC is free next week
New content adds environmental hazards to existing maps and will introduce the Collectors as a new enemy faction in multiplayer
The largest downloadable content pack to-date for Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, entitled Mass Effect 3: Retaliation, will be available to download at no additional charge next week.
The pack will include new “Hazard” versions of existing maps, as players attempt to survive the onslaught of Acid, Lightening, Meltdowns, Sandstorms, Swarms and Whiteouts. New Enemy Faction with the Collector Praetorian, Scion, Abomination, Trooper, and Captain enemies. The Collectors have also brought new weapons to the fight: the Collector Assault Rifle, Sub-Machine Gun, and Sniper Rifle.
New Class Kits to unlock and new weapon upgrades are also included. New Multiplayer Challenge Feature prompts players to complete various multiplayer assignments and feats of strength to unlock titles and banners to display in-game.
Mass Effect 3: Retaliation will be available for free download on October 9 on Xbox LIVE and Origin and on PlayStation Network in North America on October 9 and in Europe on October 10.
