Assassin's Creed III breaks company preorder record

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed III is the most pre-ordered game in the company’s history. Pre-orders of Assassin’s Creed III already have more than doubled those of last year’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Ubisoft’s previous pre-order record holder.

“Assassin’s Creed III is one of the most anticipated games of the year and this impressive pre-order mark is just a hint of the game’s potential,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales & marketing, Ubisoft.

Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass will be available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network. The Season Pass releases within six months after the game launch at a 25% savings over the individual pack prices. Also, Season Pass owners will have access to the first downloadable content pack one week before other gamers.

Assassin’s Creed III will be available on October 30 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, November 18 for Wii U and November 20 on Windows PC.
