Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn out in August
Collector's Edition outlined as MMO prepares for relaunch
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now available for pre-order and the MMO will launch this August.
Also announced is A Realm Reborn Collector’s Edition, which includes collector’s box designed by Yoshitaka Amano; 80-page “Art of Eorzea” hardcover art book; a special bonus video disc that takes a cinematic look at the events that led up to the realm being reborn; “Sounds of Eorzea” album that features musical scores by series composers; five collectable character art cards; a branded security token to secure user accounts; and in-game bonus items.
Set for an August 27, 2013 release, A Realm Reborn will be available for $39.99 on the PlayStation 3 system and $29.99 for Windows PC. The Collector’s Edition will be available for $79.99 on the PlayStation 3, and the PC version will be sold exclusively at the Square Enix Online Store for $69.99.
A free 30-day trial is also included for new accounts. Monthly subscriptions for new accounts start at $12.99. Previous FFXIV players will be able to download the PC version of A Realm Reborn for free.
