Battlefield 4 PC system requirements
Can your PC run the next Battlefield game?
EA today have unveiled the minimum and recommended pc specifications to run the latest Battlefield game. Battlefield 4, powered by frostbite 3, requires the following computer hardware.
Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit
Processor (AMD): Athlon X2 2.8 GHz
Processor (Intel): Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
Memory: 4 GB
Hard Drive: 30 GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon 3870
Graphics card (NVIDIA): Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
Graphics memory: 512 MB
Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows 8 64-bit
Processor (AMD): Six-core CPU
Processor (Intel): Quad-core CPU
Memory: 8 GB
Hard Drive: 30 GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon 7870
Graphics card (Nvidia): NVIDIA GeForce GT 660
Graphics memory: 3 GB
The minimum specifications are not a huge step up compared to those for Battlefield 3. On the minimum end, you will need more RAM than BF3 (from 2GB to 4GB) and more Hard Drive space (20GB to 30GB). The minimum graphics card and processor required is almost exactly the same as it was for BF3 in 2011.
Recommended sees a bigger jump over its predecessor. More RAM and HDD space is required, as with the min specs. A newer generation GPU is recommended, although we are not sure what settings this is suited for. 3GB of graphics memory will hold you in good stead. It would be fair to say that if you can run BF3, then it is highly likely you can run BF4.
