Disney Infinity sells 295k copies in August
Strong start in US sales for new franchise
Disney Interactive has said that its new toy crossover video game, Disney Infinity, reached 294,000 sales in the two weeks of August since release.
"Disney Infinity sales are off to a strong start, selling 294,000 starter pack units in the US during the last two weeks of August," the spokesperson told GI.
In the game, players can unlock virtual toys from each play set - characters, buildings, weapons, gadgets and more – and bring them into the Toy Box where you can mix them all up to create your own game.
Disney Infinity was released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U last month. We thought the game "has the magic of Disney, but lacks gameplay polish".
