Mass Effect gets DLC, patch
New combat-oriented DLC and a long-awaited PC patch arrive for Mass Effect
Microsoft has released a new piece of combat-oriented DLC for the fabulous RPG Mass Effect. The Pinnacle Station DLC is priced at 400 Microsoft Points ($5) and is based on combat rather than puzzle solving or exploration.
Test the limits of your combat prowess aboard a remote, top-secret Alliance space station. Do you have what it takes to hold the top spot amongst the best of the best? This module includes a new land-able space station, 13 exciting combat scenarios, and approximately 2-3 hours of game play.
Apparently you must achieve Spectre status before embarking on this mission but that happens fairly early in the game.
A long-awaited PC version patch has also been released at the same time. The 1.02 patch addresses issues that have been waiting for a fix since the game first appeared on store shelves. They include fixes to small problems like weird lighting and texture issues to bigger problems, like the player getting stuck on certain elevators.
