Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain release date set
Pre-order bonuses and special edition for open world stealth game revealed
Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be released worldwide starting September 1st, 2015 on consoles, and September 15th on PC.
The publisher will be releasing both a special Day 1 Edition and a limited Collector’s Edition of the game. The Day 1 Edition will be granted to fans who preorder the game, and will contain a physical map of the game world, plus a few DLC items - Adam-ska Special Handgun, Personal Ballistic Shield (Silver), Cardboard Box (Wetland), Fatigues (Blue Urban Snake Costume), and a Metal Gear Online XP Boost.
Meanwhile, the $99 Collector’s Edition for consoles contains a half scale Replica of Snake’s Bionic Arm, a Collectible SteelBook, behind the Scenes Documentary & Trailers Blu-ray Disc, the physical map, plus a variety of DLC. The digital content features a Weapon and Shield Pack, a number of cardboard boxes and costumes for Snake, as well as MGO XP boost and items.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain promises to be the series’ largest and most ambitious edition to date, expanding upon themes and content seen in its predecessor: MGS V:Ground Zeroes.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
